Education

Education is key to empowerment, development, and a better life. However, not everyone has access to quality education. To illustrate, 175 million young people lack even basic literacy skills and one in four young people in developing countries is unable to read, according to a recent report of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

Education is the way to uncap potential, promote gender equality, eradicate poverty, close social and cultural gaps, improve quality of life, and build prosperity. At EHAAR, we strive to facilitate access to education by:

  • Forging meaningful and useful partnerships between higher education institutions around the world;

  • Developing the capacity of educators, researchers, and students;

  • Promoting education for girls, as well special education;

  • Providing support to children, especially children in war zones, to access quality education;

  • Promoting programs that encourage faculty and student exchange;

  • Helping governments to reform education policy; and,

  • Offering a forum for researchers, policy makers, communities, and individuals to discuss challenges and explore opportunities.

In addition to the above, we work with governments and academic institutions throughout the developing world to support access to educational opportunities in the United States.
